STERLING SILVER

Like all silver jewelry, 925 sterling silver will tarnish over time. Any darkening or discoloration that occurs is usually caused by oxidation.
This is normal and will happen to all silver or brass jewelry over time.


We recommend using a special polishing cloth for silver (you can purchase these at most jewelry stores) or mild soap, water, and a bristled brush.

14KT GOLD-FILLED

All chains, small detailing, and clasps in gold are made from 14kt gold-fill. This means that it is a thick layer of solid 14kt gold outside of a brass core. Gold-filled is more valuable and tarnish-resistant than regular gold-plate.



To clean our gold-filled chains, we recommend using a polishing cloth or mild soap, water, and a soft-bristled brush (such as a toothbrush); rinse clean and pat dry with a soft cloth.

14KT GOLD-PLATED SILVER

All our rings, charms, and pendants shown in gold are made in 14kt gold plated sterling silver. This gives you quality pieces with a gold finish at a more affordable price. Please note that gold-plated jewelry will fade over time, but it may last a long time if treated with care.  However, if you prefer the «real deal,» we are happy to produce any of our styles in solid 14kt gold upon request.

To clean gold plated jewelry, we recommend using a mild soap, water, and a soft-bristled brush (such as a toothbrush); rinse clean and pat dry with a soft cloth.

 

CARETIPS FOR ALL MATERIAL

 

  • Always remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing/showering, exercising, or using abrasive cleaners.

 

  • avoid direct contact with beauty products such as perfume, hairspray, lotions, body oils, and other cosmetics while wearing your jewelry. Always put your jewelry on after such products are completely dried.

  • when your jewelry is not in use, we recommend keeping it dry.

  • If you need to clean your jewelry, we recommend using mild soap, water, and a soft-bristled brush (such as a toothbrush), rinse clean, and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Warranty

by me has a one-year warranty on all goods sold on byme.no, and it only covers manufacturing faults, not from regular use. We will repair your item free of charge during the warranty period if it is a manufacturing or material defect.

Please note that cracking of stones or scratching of silver, and gold or rhodium plating, are not considered manufacturing defects.
